IS SOLAR POWER A GOOD OPTION FOR YOU?
When it comes to solar power, there are many factors to consider. For example, this may require an initial, upfront investment. You need to make sure that you are in a position to invest. Failure to do this will result in several issues and may result in you spending more than what you can really afford. When you decide that solar panels are an investment you want to make, it is a good idea to find an established, experienced, and reputable solar panel company. They will help ensure you get the quality results that you want and need and that you can see all the benefits mentioned above. They will also help you find a reputable and reliable roofing company in the case that your roof needs fixing or replacing before installing the solar panels. (As a side note, if you are looking for a full face-lift on the exterior of your home, we can recommend a good painting company) Keep in mind that while solar energy was a costly investment just a few years ago, today, it is becoming more and more affordable thanks to it being more mainstream and readily available from several service providers with many different plans and ways of acquiring solar. In the long run, most people find this to be a smart and quality investment that offers benefits and advantages that are truly undeniable. Being informed and knowing what to expect are the best ways to ensure the desired results from your solar panels are achieved. Here in New Jersey over $10 million dollars has been invested on helping people go solar. This is mostly through the SREC program which is tax money you save for the energy you produce. SOLAR PANELS
There are several directions you can choose to go in after making the decision to go green with solar panels. Solar Purchase is buying the panels outright so you own the full rights to them. This is a big advantage as all profits go to you, the sole owner. In addition, if you produce more energy than you use, you can actually make residual monthly income. Solar Loan is when you finance the solar panels by making monthly payments until the panels are paid up in full. Although in the beginning you still have a monthly bill plus a (reduced) electric bill, eventually you will own the solar system on your roof with the potential to really save a lot on your utility bill. Solar Lease is when you lease the panels from the developer who puts them up for you for a set monthly fee. The advantage of this route is that you know exactly how much your utilities will cost you monthly. The downside is that at the end of the leasing period you do not own the solar panels. Power Purchase Agreement is when a developer puts solar panels on your property and then sells you the power it produces at a lower rate than your utility company. This ensures that you only pay for what you use but at a discounted rate. At the end though, you will not own the solar system on your property. |
